Duke Sports Medicine Fall Announcements for TUSA

Beginning August 10, Duke Sports Medicine will return to having a medical provider present during training at some sites each week. This will include our newest provider, Christopher Bruscato, PT, DPT, LAT, ATC, XPS. You will be seeing a lot of Chris as he joins Michael Messer, PT, DPT, SCS, XPS in working with TUSA. Duke Sports Medicine will also expand their sports performance services to all of the girls NPL teams in the fall and boys NPL teams in the spring.

Duke Sports Medicine Available for TU players

Duke Sports Medicine Physical Therapy are available for the benefit of Triangle United players once again this year.  Michael Messer from Duke will be working with the club.

Duke Sports Medicine is available for the benefit of Triangle United players once again this year.  Duke Sports Medicine has the clinicians with the soccer experience you need to stay healthy and out on the field.  As such, FIFA has accredited Duke Sports Medicine as one of only three Medical Centres of Excellence in the United States and one of 49 across the world.  

Michael Messer, PT, DPT, SCS, XPS serves as the Soccer Outreach & Performance Coordinator for Duke Sports Medicine Physical Therapy.  He also works as a network physical therapist for the U.S. Men’s National Team.  Michael is a board-certified clinical specialist in sports physical therapy giving him advanced insight into all sports related conditions and injuries.  Additionally, he has attended an annual soccer medicine conference in Europe the past four years with clinicians from the top clubs across the world.  Michael has achieved his FIFA Diploma in Football [Soccer] Medicine as well.  He has a whole life’s worth of experience as a player, coach, and fan.  He is happy to be assisting Triangle United Soccer Association in providing care to all of the club’s members.

Christopher Bruscato, PT, DPT, LAT, ATC, XPS serves as a physical therapist, athletic trainer, and performance specialist for Duke Sports Medicine Physical Therapy. Christopher has extensive experience working with youth, collegiate, and professional soccer athletes. Professionally Christopher has practiced at several organizations across the country including the IMG Academy, EXOS, and Portland Timbers FC. Personally, Christopher has a special interest in assisting youth soccer athletes in improving athletic performance, injury prevention, and rehabilitation of injuries. Christopher is excited to help develop and provide professional care to Triangle United Soccer Associations club members.
