National 1 League

Welcome to the Triangle United National 1 League (N1L) program, a premier team-based competitive platform representing the pinnacle of national collaboration in youth soccer. Formed through the unified integration of US Club Soccer’s National Premier Leagues (NPL) and US Youth Soccer’s National League, the National 1 League serves as an elite regional and national travel circuit for our highly driven athletes


Operating within our player development pyramid, the National 1 League provides a critical transition platform positioned directly alongside our top-flight academy programs. This standards-driven competitive landscape is engineered for elite teams who are ready to push past traditional state-level competition and test themselves against the best clubs in the country.


The N1L program is built with a heavy emphasis on elite exposure and vertical player movement. To ensure a fluid talent pathway, players interested in our National 1 League program are actively cross-evaluated during our MLS NEXT Academy and GA/DPL tryout blocks, creating a transparent bridge for vertical advancement within the club

Every individual in North Carolina who wants to play soccer can do so with a North Carolina Youth Soccer Association Member Club in a safe, enjoyable, and respectful environment that leads to a lifelong love and participation in the sport.

NC Youth Soccer
