Miguel Esparza

Miguel Esparza believes great players are developed by learning to read the game, solve problems, and make confident decisions under pressure. He creates an environment where players strengthen their technical ability and tactical understanding while feeling empowered to take risks, express creativity, and think independently.

When injuries brought his playing career to an early end, Miguel discovered a new purpose on the sidelines. What began as volunteer coaching evolved into a career dedicated to developing players and fostering a lifelong passion for the game. Since then, he has coached players of all ages and competitive levels across several Bay Area (CA) youth soccer clubs before joining Triangle United Soccer Association.

Miguel believes player development and competition go hand in hand. He challenges players to communicate effectively, embrace mistakes as learning opportunities, and take ownership of their development so they can perform with confidence in demanding environments. His goal is to help players grow not only as athletes but also as thoughtful decision-makers and resilient teammates.

Miguel holds the U.S. Soccer B License and is currently pursuing the U.S. Soccer A License, reflecting his commitment to continual learning and providing the highest standard of coaching.
